Saw people were doing this on fitocracy and am going to give it a try after my current regimen is up. Anyone do it before?

The closest I have come to that is juice only. I typically only juice to supplement my meals (a quick breakfast or lunch instead of making something) but I've also done juice only for a week or even just a weekend and felt pretty good after.

Never tried it, but intermittent fisting can be fun if you are feeling adventurous.

I do not think there is any benefit versus just a more constant cutting of the diet. I don't believe the body generally reacts to physical stress (like hunger) by losing more fat.

i usually do it. unless you have a way to suppress appetite and keep your energy levels up, i wouldn't recommend it. it takes quite a while before your body gets used to not eating until way later in the day. cramming down that much food at one time isn't as fun as you think it is.
you're going to be very tired

I'm reading about the 24-48 hours a week fasting (not consecutively), I think I have the willpower to change my lifestyle in that way. Seems there are quite a few benefits and not much downside.

oh ya great idea; raises stress hormones, puts ones body into starvation mode, shuts metabolism down, high portion of next meal is turned to fat, and body breaks down muscle tissue for fuel and bones for calcium.
just exercise for 45 minutes a day, vary your work out, and keep your intake to under 1500 cals a day.
