I would think experience would play a big factor in getting a job in that market. I am assuming BT has years of experience, so he will have an easier time than a fresh college grad.

But we're not specifically talking about BT, just "someone who knows Linux".

Sounds like you will be eligible for a HIPAA plan after you exhaust your COBRA coverage Serena. Nevada sounds like Florida, not a great place for the uninsured/high risk population

The questionnaire for my work insurance asks if you are planning to have a baby/etc but then they also ask if anyone in the house is taking folic acid. lol.

Florida strongly supports indigent care at Hospitals - in that if you are uninsured, no hospital can turn you away, they have to eat the costs. Hence why healthcare is so expensive in Florida

thats being rather presumptuous of them, my daughter takes folic acid as part of her treatment, because Methotrexate depletes it, and the folic acid helps with nausea too.

of course, I'm sure they would have already asked if you have an Auto Immune disease to trip her up before that became an issue. lol
