the mochi stuff looks like a small cake?
this is about the size and look (shape wise) of a ping pong ball. not a cake for sure. i think.

Everytime I go to the actual authentic Japanese (not the hi, we have a habachi and a few novelty sushis) place here, they're out of dango.
Pisses me right the f*** off. I really want to try it.
I think I should make a trip to Nagasaki this weekend.
Edit: We have about four real ones in the area. Nagasaki is the only one where they don't outwardly hate white people, though.
The Manfriend and I went to the Noodle shop inside the Asian mall last summer, and for the first time, really experienced being discriminated against. They gave us awful seats, it was crowded, we waited for every Asian person in the restaurant to be served before we got our food, and then we had maybe half of what was on other people's plates.

its a dessert he said as he walked away
it is in a thin plastic wrapper, and is in a ball shape. something kinda white-ish in the middle, i can see from underneath, but surrounded by something im pretty sure isnt chocolate, sweet bean paste?
annnny ways. if you have lived there or know what it might be, what is it?
Sounds like maybe it's Mochi?

Yep... It's an unpublished thing, but asian restaurants in the states really hate white people.
I don't think it's just a racial thing...
I think it's because so many people go in to Japanese/Chinese/Korean/Vietnamese spots and order things liek general tsao's chicken or California rolls...
