This thread begs the question: do the "women" of ACF use a funnel to get that much sand in their vagina or do they just slide around the beach like an angry Roomba? -deadcactus-

"Do introverts typically dislike extroverts and vice versa?"

It depends on if they're male or female. I like female extroverts. Not so much male.

I agree. I think it is more normal for women to be extroverts because they never stop talking anyhow. For guys though.... hmmm... kind of strange.

Then after an Oatmeal Cranberry and Double Chocolate,
it made my new vagina spontaneously sing the Trolololo Song in an elevator.

a good article

This guy comes across as self absorbed and unempathic. IF ONLY OTHER PEOPLE WERE AS REFLECTIVE AND THOUGHTFUL AS I AM. BOO HOO EXTROVERTS DON'T UNDERSTAND US CARING FOLK. **** you.

Someone's a bit sensitive on this issue, apparently. The focus of the article was on how introverts are often misinterpreted and not understood. It wasn't a comprehensive tell all about socialization between intro/extroverts.

While a couple parts could have been written better, overall the article was very on point for what it was meant to discuss.

I guess because I'm more of a middle ground kind of person, I can be both, so those people don't bother me.

Look at the language of the article.

Extroverts therefore dominate public life. This is a pity. If we introverts ran the world, it would no doubt be a calmer, saner, more peaceful sort of place.

Are introverts arrogant? Hardly. I suppose this common misconception has to do with our being more intelligent, more reflective, more independent, more level-headed, more refined, and more sensitive than extroverts.

One of my daughters is an extravert. I'm not.

She constantly has to talk, touch, and hug. I'm a far more private person. I don't like casual touching, especially if I don't know the person well.

She lives for social interaction. I do not. I used to actively avoid it. Now I will tolerate it to a degree.

My oldest and third daughters are both quite happy to spend the day in the same room as me watching tv, playing a video game, or reading a book. All without any chatter. That is a good thing.

Yet Daughter #2 walks in and all sorts of chatter, whining, complaining, and social drama starts.

I'm beginning to suspect my youngest is an extravert as well.

hahah 4 daughters

you are sooo outnumbered ;P

So two blips in a 1000+ word article. Your critique is obviously not drawn from those two parts, as your comment is not centered on the "Introverts > extroverts" issue.

"This guy comes across as self absorbed and unempathic. IF ONLY OTHER PEOPLE WERE AS REFLECTIVE AND THOUGHTFUL AS I AM. BOO HOO EXTROVERTS DON'T UNDERSTAND US CARING FOLK. **** you."

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of 'gifted' people being introverted was actually true. Not just because introverts are 'smarter', but being introverted tends to make a person focus more on their interests/work. Extroverts naturally end up focusing on their people/"life" more.

The other blip is the most contentious part, to an extent he just explained poorly. Those are common strengths of introverts (which he feels pride for), extroverts tend to have other strengths. But these are just trends, and there are lots of exceptions.

I'm fairly introverted (like to be alone, don't talk a ton, etc), however when I run into someone who's more introverted than me it's just f'n awkward. When I feel like I have to prod the conversation along, it just sucks. Prefer extroverts.
