yeah. kia spent years earning their poor rep so its going to take a while for them to turn it around now that they've started producing quality vehicles. their last couple years of vehicles have been exceptionally good though. i think the kia dealer in my area sells more cars than all the other dealers put together. its insane how well they're doing right now. you walk into any of the other dealers and its dead...you can hear the crickets chirping. you walk into the kia dealership and its a madhouse of activity. even if hes set on a sedan he can go for the optima, very nice vehicle but its 10k more. the only problem with kia is buying used is pretty much out since their jump in vehicle quality is only a couple years old now.

I'm willing to check out the Kia's, I hadn't ruled them out yet.
As for the German stuff, I'm totally uncomfortable supporting that country - and someone has already clearly pegged why.
I'll look at the Lexus too.

anyway part of my point was to maybe turn him away from paying more for something than he might need to for what hes using it for.
