Grinder is operational.
Just need to make a safer spot, with a door perhaps for the collection spot. Still potential for strays to wander over I suspect.

That very top center pod had 5 pods of 9 spawners. The roof below seems to have a ghast spawner at each corner. Probably going to need to build a passage to them to break them because ghasts don't have a light requirement for spawning.
There's a chest on the center of that roof too.

Byeeee ghast spawners. Run up, build a little mossy house, chop spawner.
Achievement get: Brown wool. That roof is poorly lit still (ghasts pop the torches so fast) but we should be able to use it to work down inside now. If there are spawners just below the surface we'll find out soon enough. I had lava pouring on it when I ran around.

That is how I was killing the ground level ones, lol. Impossible pretty much any other way.

I almost have a corner under control now near ground level. Tried to go in from the very top, but it's obsidian under the pattern.
Currently sitting at the grinder while I get some rl stuff done.

Got red from the center.
Clearing rooms, till hearing tons of noise, realise I've circled the center on a few levels. Dig in, and it's an obsidian box. Finally gave in and made another d pick. Came in at the top of course, right at the chests. Dumped lava down so I'll go back later and see if there was another way I just missed.

I can't wait for new "real" map.
So many things I want to build but not wanting to waste time on something thats going boom soon.

Yeah their 'no new versions until Minecon' bites. Hopefully they iron out any issues and release a decent build soon. Minecon is coming up so it should be soon.

I've pretty much put my SSP game on hold. I'm going to restart when there is a stable release. Maybe with a new computer I'll be able to get back on the server. Right now there isn't any point in trying. I'm working 60-70 hours a week and my computer is old.
When things slow down at work I'll buy a new machine and actually have time to play.
