sometimes a fifth trip mind you this is also while lost. a creeper will blow me up into lava and that is another rage quit for a couple hours

It is more a 'feature', heh. That is how they list it anyway. Let it go night time naturally and that should fix it. It is some kind of network traffic throttle they incorporated. It resets, or is supposed to anyway, when night/day cycles naturally.

I think I need to leave the village I'm building for awhile and come back to it. I just don't feel like doing anything to it right now. haha I might have to head over to the lighthouse and build the castle!

Here is my modified terrain.png for Misa's 3.0.4 version.
Changes:
- lantern style glowstone
- brighter stone and stone products
- whiter, lighter sand and sandstone
- mature nether wart is more pale than the other two stages
If you have any suggestions, I'm willing to try.

Remember that you can change the font to her older one from the current one that I find quite horrible. (copy default.png from the old_font folder into the font folder in her zip.)
