I started laying track from my portal which I'm going to deem "The New World". Lol. It's going to be quite the lengthy process but I'm getting there!
I found a place to settle near and am mining a bit to get the iron and gold for the tracks.
How many tracks should I lay before I place a powered one?

I had connected once, months ago. No one was on, and I had no permissions - I couldn't even explore as something (it's been a while, so my memory is hazy) to get out of the spawn area had been restricted at that time.

It's the throw, teleport thing suggested on here!
It doesn't work at all in creative mode, and in survival or hardcore mode, it deals 5 points of falling damage. It's exciting to try to throw your way out of a ravine. Hit the wall, and you're basically screwed.
