Think I'm just gonna wait for 1.8 before I make more stuff.

im thinking map reset next patch. O_o

I'm ready for one too. Nice fresh start again.

My opinion here:

I think we should switch to 1.8 as soon as it goes live. New map and run vanilla until Bukkit catches up. When Bukkit gets there just add that. We're playing pretty vanilla as it is anyway, all we lose out on is some of the anti-griefing stuff that we're hardly using anyway. Use the whitelist and we're pretty safe.

That way we don't have the long period where we wait for Bukkit and mods and people lose interest. I'm pretty sure the Bukkit delay will be significant this time around.

We'll have a long delay on SP mods too so if we can do a 1.8 server right away that might be a nice

Yeah 1.8 does look pretty damn interesting. I have no problem going vanilla and building a white list from our current permissions list so we can get a quick/early start.

Haha nice video Axis.

On a minecraft note... I prototyped my the lights for my shroom farm. They recess into the ceiling and are replaced by blocks when off. Now I just need to design the harvesting and collection system and build the place.

The shroom machine is complete. All three floors of it, lol. Retractable lighting, self harvesting and perpetual (no need to reseed). All dropped out right at your feet when you flip it on.

I'm playing the latest YogBox (1.7.3c) which makes digging on the server very weird. I guess I can log in and look at things.

Switching it in and out could be a pain. But I may be able to get away with just the bin folder.

Just keep two folders and rename them. That is how I've been doing it. Everything the client uses is right there in those folders so it is simple to switch out.
