No I dug a little tunnel from your water shaft at level 14. There's a spot with a torch on either side. Theoretically far enough that they can spawn on the decks.
Mind the little walkways, I've fallen off a few times.

I'm moving insane amounts of data around my network right now and will be for the next 5 hours or so. If the server lags or is unreachable the network load is probably why. Not much can be done about it though as I need to move a couple Tb around before I can run some updates on my main NAS.

yeah i was taking about 2 minutes to load in but once ingame everything was fine

I noticed that earlier too, before I started moving data. I think it is mc.net being slow to authenticate. The server actually asks mc.net if you are a valid user before letting you on which is why anytime mc.net is hosed getting on the server is a pain in the ass. Once on you are good though.
Still moving loads of data but the network is pretty well segmented and the data is moving local (between the NAS and one of my machines) so it might not hurt server access too much.

mc.net is still slow ass.
I'm trying out the mAtmos mod that adds ambient sounds to the game (SP and MP). It's very very subtle but very cool.
Bird sounds in forest, waves in water, wind now and then. It seems to be compatible with BTW too.
