Cruut isn't much for kiting. Low RR skalds get ripped if they try to sit around and go all hypnotoad. Have run into a lot of these in NF lately...

And yeah... low RR vamp isn't so good. Even at high RR some class/ML combos will rip you by default unless RNG favors you.

I still think if you get a reaver to RR4+ in CV then graduate to NF you'll probably enjoy that the most considering your armsman-esque playstyle.

Man honestly i enjoy my minstreal for solo and the CV VW is fun i will take that to NF at soem point but honestly you need some sort of speed or something unless ur a reaver to reaver bomb fgs and drop 3 befor you die!
