Solo toon in Today's Game |
Trying to find something effective against most of the things I come across when Solo.
Keep in mind this is starting from scratch.
Champ or Vamp?
The way I see it..
Vamp : Charge / Resists / Fumble / Banelord
Champ: Ranged interrupts / Debuffs / Banelord.
Both could be effective.. What I'm noticing playing a vamp though is that I'm pretty much fodder against archers...
Unless I'm doing something wrong.. =/
What is archery damaged classed as, melee or magic? As I'm running towards a scout/hunter I generally put up both to help out..

I did a friar the other day...
Done a couple of 1v1's to try it (Aka, Lolab duels)..
But all I seemed to fight was either crap with fumbles so I never got the heal styles off or some kind of random dueling cheese mode.
And well I have a skald that I'm not too good on and I'm not too keen on playing my shade at the moment. I just prefer visibles really. Even though soloing on them suck!

Well when it comes to classes without speed, your biggest powerhouse Xv1/1v1 solo char is probably going to be reaver. Only issue there is that you really do need RR5+ (preferably RR8+) to be most effective since they have so many RAs to buy (purge, charge, twf, IP, block/parry, mof, mom, etc). You'll still get steamrolled by groups but with bomb and all the lifetapping goodness, you will often beat the baddy smallman/stealthgroups and kiting chars that your arms or champ/vamp would flop against.
Champ might be your best bet for pure 1v1/dueling, but I doubt that's what you are going to do.
