edit: the only time you're really going to feel the reinforced chest is fighting against crush dmg which really isn't that common aside from skalds and some warriors. SBs won't use bludgeon on you expecting scale armor and most solo albs are going to be thrust or slash. I'd give it a shot considering the stats on it are so much better than the druid chest, though ultimately it would be best to test proc rates and benefits.

There are test logs on alb fighter board that prove a chain wearing class wearing studded benefits more from it (in terms of abs) than studded wearing class wearing studded (some people will have to read it a few times). Thus the general concept is viable.
