We were getting ready to break ground (begin construction on a new home) and there was an 18 inch oak on the property that was going to be dozed (in the way). I thought it a complete waste so decided to go out on the weekend on my own time and cut it down for cooking wood. I figured I'd get a workout in so decided to do it by hand instead of chainsaw. Then come back the next day with a chainsaw to actually cut it up once it was down. Cut it down on a saturday, the following morning when I went back with a rented chainsaw from home depot some bastard had already showed up and stolen it...
