Your server must be pretty small, or the griefer population. Right now, on Mal'ganis at the flight trainer there are literally 200 people standing in the same spot, 1/3rd of them on mammoth mounts. Going first person will NOT help, and neither do name plates.

The nameplate solution always works though.
Not when there's literally a hundred people in a small area. Three are too many name plates on the screen that they start moving around like crazy. GL clicking on it.
Key Binding "interact with target" and using /target name works the best.
Actually yes it does. It can be configured to show just NPC nameplates and not player ones.

Or you can bind your "interact with" keybinding to something useful and then just /target <npc name> and hit the keybinding.

You need to understand that for many people playing this game, there is more entertainment in ruining someone else's gaming experience than in enjoying their own gaming experience.

Everyone playing WoW knows everything about playing two classes: 1) their own and 2) Hunters

This is partly Blizzard's fault.
They made the interactive distance too short, this makes everyone pile on mailboxes and NPC's to talk/interact with them. It needs to be extended.
They should also allow a keystroke to remove players from the screen, there's another MMO that does this, I can't remember which one.

The problem with many of the anti/griefing measures suggested by players is that they conflict with Blizzard's anti-botting measures as well.
