In the raid apartment of WoW nothing is new, same old stuff, loot with higher numbers than the expansion before...
Why do runners run on treadmills? I have to assume it's because they enjoy it to some degree, even though it's the same motions over and over again.
Not much of a raider myself, but really, what exactly are we expecting the expansion to bring to raids? To me, it's just a new face on the same mechanics to enjoy with your friends, with some interesting story thrown in.
OT: leveled archeology to 75, finished my explorer achievements in old world, got 3 explorer achievements in cata, did 17 quests in both Vash and Hyjal, hit 81, and made a Worgen Warlock.
My favorite part in the midst of all that was the worgen intro and archeology. Arch will be my new Sunday morning hobby of relaxation.

I finished Vashj'ir and Deepholm and am just under 1 million XP to level 84.
I also made 20k gold today.

I did the first two starting dungeons in noob level 80 greens. I was the healer, my guildies got us through it, was a little tough in some spots but we completed them both, completed the one in Water World twice.
My average item level went from one 176 to 223 in 3 dungeon runs.
Great dungeons by the way, very cool, look amazing, lots of fun.

Got the epic flying for Azeroth and cleared 4 zones in Eastern Kingdoms towards the LoreMaster achievement, spent a few hours in Vashjer exploring, ran the new Cata dungeon in Blackrock Spire, and played for a bit on my new worgen rogue. I tried a little bit of everything that is new.

Um. I got all my profession folks the latest versions of whatever skills, as well as the flying skill. Then went off and spent some time making a new goblin. What a fun area. Also made a new worgen. The two areas couldn't be more different. There were lots of funny things going on in the goblin area.
Very late in the evening I finally took my DK to one of the new areas. Tried the underwater place first, but started having ToA flashbacks. I just don't understand the appeal of fighting in water, unless it's a World War II sub simulation game.
I should have had my skinner there, as there were tons of dead things drifting around, and I think most were skinnable.
I think I will move all my miners to Sholozar to get their skills up some.
For what it's worth, everything worked very well from what I saw (except for the goblin pool party quest which bugged out my interface both times I went through it). When you consider all the drastic things they have done to the world, and even looking back over the last month or so, it's been a pretty smooth transition.

Got to 82 pretty easily and enjoyed all of the quests, especially in Vash'jir(sp). I wasn't turned off by it being an underwater zone like I expected to be.
Got skinning from 450-525 in about 15 minutes thanks to the Dragonkin spot in Hyjal where everyone was leaving 30+ skinnable corpses on the ground. Helped me get Leatherworking to about 490 skill with ease and some nice crafted greens. (Level 79 ilvl 289 cloak = )
Hoping when I get home again today, the skinning spots will still have lots of people for me to steal leather from.
