Well ... since patch 4.x my beloved hunter has sucked so bad .... I've been working on my mage who is 72 now so it limits me.


I got his flying license at the base of the zep tower in Org and just went exploring. I've leveled so many characters in the barrens it was just intresting flying through there and checking out changes. I looked over a few of the old noob zones, finding new FP's and noticed a few FP's are now gone. I ended up in Ungoro and headed south. There seems to be at least 3 new 80+ zones. Of course at 72 I couldn't do much excpet look from a safe altitude. I picked up some new FP's in these zones but for what ever reason, they don't connect back to the older zones. Maybe I just havent found the connecting hub yet.


Thats about it so far. I'm not overally anxious to do and see every thing in the first week. I full expect to see level 85's by tonight. More power to you. I'll get there in my own time.


I'm thinking I might give my hunter another shot. Maybe a few more levels and extra skills will help him.

I am in the same boat. I don't care for the focus change on Hunters at all and I don't really enjoy my Priest all that much anymore (although it was my first character) so I rolled a Paladin. I figured if I am going to start a new character its going to be one that can tank, dps or heal as well as any of the "pure" classes. Not just dps or dps/heal like my Hunter or Priest.

At any rate, was leveling as fast as I could for about a week and got him halfway through 75 last night before midnight. I was hoping to get to 80 and just keep going at midnight but fell short. So I took my Hunter out to Hyjal, but it was so overcrowded in the new zone that eventually I logged off. I think I am going to finish up my Paladin and wait for the craziness to subside some in Hyjal before going there.

I went to bed at normal time the night before (pre-midnight), went to work during the day, and this evening I will be packing for a trip to Disney that I will be leaving for bright and early tomorrow morning.

We just got back from Disney ourselves. These weeks in between Thanksgiving and Christmas are absolutely phenomenal times to visit if you don't mind the weather/don't care about the water parks (though we did hit a day of mid 80s weather for sufficient poolside shenanigans).

Have fun! We hadn't been in 15 years, and it was at times wonderful and disheartening to experience the changes that have been made to the place.

Also...beers around the world...srsly.


As for Cata, I'm still at work, but I am THIS FRIGGIN' CLOSE to calling it seeing how smooth the transition went. I can always make it up on the arse end of the week. =P

Got my Stormwind Fishing Achievement finally. Watched Stormwind empty with a quickness. Basic leveling in Stonetalon before I called it a night.
