My husband's account was hacked. The last time he played and we paid for the account was in August of 2008. When cata came out he wanted to play again and when we logged on his account was all but wiped clean and all his characters were deleated save his 70 hunter. Thats the highest level character he played. He never installed his WofLK expansion. But his 70 hunter was out in Northrend. Which I am told he coudldn't do if he didnt get WotLK. When we went into his account management we saw that in August of 2010 someone re-upped his account and paid and played it for 3 months. We quickly secured the account and added an authentacator and havent had any problems since. We have also had the same email attatched to that account and didn't get an email from blizzard saying that the password was changed.
Go into your account history and see when the hackers started paying for your subscription.
