The 1-60 has never been part of and never will be part of the Cataclysm expansion. The only way that logic works is if the Cataclysm box sales paid for the development of content that's available to everyone. If that's the case, there's a larger problem here.
I think you are way off base here. If the 1-60 wasn't part of the Cataclysm expansion then why were almost all the zones reworked and molded to the Cataclysm story line.. have you done a starter zone yet? How did the box sales of Cataclysm pay for content that's been in development for 2-3 years again? If you made the statement that 1-60 content wasn't part of the BC and WOLTK expansion then I would agree. However you said that the story lines and zone changes for the Cataclysm have nothing to do with Cataclysm, the expansion... is that what you said?

This is totally correct. Blizzard has been unhappy with the 1-60 zones being unfinished almost since launch. What better way to redo the content the have a giant freakin' dragon burn it down and smash it to pieces? Now they have lore to support this rather then just.
