It's still way easier and faster using fishing...
Best is a mix of both, use the meat and other raw supplies you find while questing, and complete with fish.

anyone know how to get from 505 to 525? i bought a recipe at like 495 and it got me to 505 and went grey.. maybe i bought the wrong recipe?

Do more dailies, and get one of the +90 stat recipes.
