In Wyrmrest I almost never see requests for ports and my mage never gets asked.

That's because Wyrmrest is a good RP Realm, and good RPers know that their character's aren't telepathic (unless you're a shadow priest, maybe) and so whispers would be breaking character.

I'd like to see the portals back but it's getting better. It was really annoying at first but when I saw belt buckles going for 500+g in AH, I reconsidered some.

They should just make whatever DPS class is grossly OP at any given time the ability to cast portals and rotate that around every coupla months.

That is not the vision we really have for the game. We want travel to mean something. You might have been used to facerolling portals in Wrath, but we are trying to get back some of the traditional challenge vanilla WoW used to have. Create a mage at your own risk.
It's almost 2011. And WoW is a theme park, not a sandbox. Leave them 2004-ish ideas where they belong, with EQ1 and vanilla WoW. IMO

Strongly disagree.
Developers spend literally millions of dollars to develop and create this virtual world we play in. Why then would they put in portals just so you can skip over all of it?
There is no place in the game world you can't get to in less than 10 minutes. I continue to struggle to understand why people stand around asking for ports to places they could be at in less time and for free.
