1800 points is great but just how often is anyone going to collect on it?
That would be not very, heck Blizz could offer 10,000 points and not have to worry about it being collected enough to matter.

The defending side will want to lose so they can attack next round. No one will want to win while defending. TB will constantly change hands.

Just won one while attacking and it doesn't seem like they changed it. Only got 180 honor. Maybe after the restart tomorrow.

That's a bizarre change.
Why not just work in some progressive advantages to repeated losers... every time you fail to take it, you get a 10% numbers advantage over the defenders or something in the next attempt. Eventually the attackers will get it.
1800 honor will probably just encourage losing as the OP implied.

I can only imagine the "arranged" losses just to ensure there is changing of hands at least once per day for each side...
"no no, don't defend, we want them to win, so we can win in 2 hours".....
