How do I put people on this board on ignore? |

There are some trolls on this board that I want to blank out completely.
No need to mention names, you know who they are.
Is there any way to set up my account to not show their posts or replies?

There's no functionality like that built in to the forum software. Without wishing to be too harsh, fact is, the vnboards software is pretty primitive - I've been posting here for nearly six years and I don't recall seeing any improvements in functionality in that time, we're still firmly at "turn of the century" levels of technology.
However, if you use Firefox and Greasemonkey, this thread may be of interest: http://vnboards.ign.com/gaheris_co_op_server_forum/b22329/107373282/p1 - it's pretty old, but I took a quick glance at the classes on the current HTML elements, and it looks like that script should still work.

This isn't a troll, but there a few people in this forum that I don't bother to read what they write either. As I scroll down the thread when I notice their name come up I just skip over the post. A whole lot less work.
Also, if you are trying to follow a thread and this person you want to ignore happens to say something pertaining to the thread, (rare I know) you can at least go back and review the post for any information.
I self censor these forums, works just fine.

exactly...i have definitely one in mind that i dont read anymore, its just the same crap over and over.
point is, its just like real life...there are peeps i work with that i cant stand, i just dont listent to them or avoid them...kinda the same thing here.

Well Ardenwolf and Jared Korry keep screaming out for attention and claim they are not posting here anymore. We'll see.
THat just leaves Boone and Korrigan and their posts are so amusing why would you want to put them on ignore? They are what make the board amusing

When some one starts off by having to say "Trust me..." it is usually a pretty big clue that you should be extra skeptical.
However every once and a while I feel like helping out the little guy. So I'll tell you what, you send me $130 to my paypal account and I will 'review' your blog and post here on what I think about it. I happen to be a very trusted and well respected member of this community. Trust me.

Rift starts 1 March. My WoW account will expire 2 March.
No reason to come to IGN boards after that.
