Well let me know if you find one, this current setup feels a lot like a friar from daoc which was a favorite just adding a pet to the mix. Need that ranged heals too though.. Looked like purifier/cabalist/something may have been a decent ranged healer.

Friar, yes! Thank you, that fits.

I played briefly with a cabby/purifier/war but they've revamped soo much that the info would be useless now.

That's probably the combo I am going to try next. Happy to share if that happens.

You don't have to play with the druid pet. I've found though I can take 5 mobs and live (with use of heal potion) with the pet healing. I also like to use to range pull. And yeah, it's a flitty little thing. I don't remember seeing any male druids.

Was planning to make my main riftblade/reaver/war and I know I will definitely play one. Right now, my guild is gonna need a healer. And I've found the druid/sham/war has enough to make it through a PQ doing swapping betwee DPS/healing. Just...enough.

Wow, could I play a Rogue with a possum throwing weapon? I might have to check this game out myself.

Statistically speaking, playing ANY MMO on launch/patch/update/test day is an exercise in futility. I prefer to wait until things stabilize and the world-breaking bugs are hotfixed before I make my triumphant entrance.

I can't speak for Rift specifically since I still play WoW.

Level 20 Ranger/ Marksman / Saboteur

Level 9 Druid / Shaman / Justicar

So far the 2 I have played and where I have gotten them. Enjoyed it so much the last beta I pre ordered collectors edition.

I love all the Rogue flavors, I'm having a hard time deciding what I want to play this time around LOL.

I could be the Sabatour, who is freaking wicked in PvP. You build up combo points at a distance by placing charges on the enemy that deal no damage, then when you fire off your finisher... BAM! Serious pain as all the damage is backloaded.

Then you have the Rift stalker, which I love. Rogue tank... need I say more?! All the finishers are defensive and offensive. I love it.

The ranged Rogue looks wicked too, not to be confused with marksmen (ranged bows) and rangers (ranged with pets). He builds up combo points at 10 yards using fire based damage and psionic hand blades... so cool. I like the idea of a mid-ranged Rogue a lot.

And of course, you have the sin, which is basically a WoW rogue. I guess if you want a true WoW rogue, you gotta combine the Sin with the Blade Dancer, which is much like your combat Rogue (aka swashbuckler).

I'm not sure about the magic based Rogue, but that seems interesting too! Stack that with a bard who sings at you for damage... lol.

So many choices... egads!

You are right, yet I do it every single time anyways because I love being a part of it, even if IT is nothing more than chaos and downtime. Helps that I make a job out of covering these things though. Made a pretty penny taking the week off for Cataclysm's launch.

this was cool. i went afk in an active area as I had the game minimized and was reading something on class combos, all of a sudden the program bar started blinking orange/yellow on the toolbar. Maximized the client again and i was being attacked, so evidently the game warns you when action is being taken against your character and you are minimized.
