I'm in the dungeon finder last night on my 84 mage.


Group pops, I zone into Stonecore. We are all right at the beginning not a single mob is dead, so this is a brand new dungeon.


Two of the players start saying "kick me kick me kick me" in party chat.


The first vote comes up, I hit no, but it passes. The second vote comes up I hit no and now it can't pass.


The other two guys then realize "hey yeah wtf" and they won't vote kick any more either. So this guy is cussing us out, and raging that we won't kick him. I just put him on ignore and go continue questing for about 20 minutes until he finally drops.


Look, I dunno what he was trying to do, but I'm not going to help him since he's wasting my time. I am going to force him to waste his.


Now... what exactly were these 2 trying to accomplish besides wasting 3 random strangers time? Anyone know? I don't get it.

Guess they didn't like the random that popped. I think if you are kicked you don't get the debuff but am not sure.

Correct, if you are kicked you don't get the debuff. On that part I'm certain you are correct.


Are you saying perhaps they are using the random dungeon finder, but they did not like Stonecore, so they try to get kicked? I think that's a possibility.


Any other possible reasons?

Sounds like it.


Get the debuff - cant que for 15 minutes then have to wait 30 minutes+ to get a DF group.


Get kicked - instantly que and wait 30+ to get a DF group.


Getting kicked actually saves some time I guess.

Yeah he was just trying to avoid the debuff, wasting your time in the process.
I'd have done the same than you - at least HE got annoyed too.

This is the epic experience we are supposed to be getting from dungeons that Blizzard keeps talking about right?

I am seeing this happen more and more lately. I rather use my vote to kick on someone who really deserves to be kicked!

What I do in this situation is say I don't want to do the dungeon, but I will if anyone is really hard up for a piece of gear there.

If everyone is in agreement, we'll go kill the first boss if it's not an annoying trash/boss. Then we'll queue up again as a group.

Unless there are bad dps/heals, then will just leave/kick.

a week or so before rift comes out expect to see lots of changes. You know the ones that blizzard said wont happen and aren't planned.

Maybe, but in the end Blizzard fanboys will not leave WoW no matter what is offered as an alternative. It was true right from beta until now, it's not changing.
