@ those of you who got all huffy at how I deal with dickwads in-game.
One could say that you are said Dickwad in-game when you act like that.
Perhaps if you ignore the glaring fact that I wasn't the one who would have started the encounter.

You won the special Olympics not because you are yourself a "dickwad" or whatever, but because you let those guys affect you so much that you go out of your way, even calling friends, to annoy them and grief them back. When you do that, they have already won against you. What would be funny is if one of them actually reports you for breaking the same rules than they did and get you banned - that would be double-win for them, not only they drove you mad and made you waste your time, but they also made you waste your money by getting a ban from the game you pay for.

More on topic, I guess there would be way less of such incidents if Blizzard invested some of that ton of money we give them to better monitor chat. There should be bots which scan chat at least in all major cities permanently, detect specific words, and immediately alert moderators when they are used. Any noob programmer could make such a filter which detects use of (configurable) word sequences like "kill you", "find you", "come get you", all the swear words and racist insults, etc... and the filter could run on a simple PC connected with a GM account, not affecting the server performance more than a normal connected client.

When you do that:
- They look like an idiot.
- You look like a 9 yr old idiot.
- You use "dickwad" in a sentence and confirm any doubt.

I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

Obviously you don't understand exactly how it works. They aren't winning anything against me if I'm completely enjoying myself when I give people like that a bunch of crap. Also, you have to be a real big idiot to get your WoW account banned for not watching how you word yourself. You can give people all kinds of hell and not break rules doing it.

LOL! Real life threats in WoW make me laugh hard. If someone gives me attitude in-game I just tell them to shut the f**k up and if they decide not to I'll start making fun of them in whatever public channel I'm able to at the moment. While this is going on I'm telling my friends in Vent to get into the channel I'm in and give the person hell too. It's quite effective.
Quite effective at doing what, exactly? I had someone try this once because I removed them from a raid, and I didn't say or do a thing about it, because quite frankly I didn't need to.

It's a good thing your situation is exactly like the situation I was talking about then I guess. Oh wait, it isn't.
