You guys are so negative. They had TWO WHOLE DAYS to see the effect of their last batch of hotfixes, that's CLEARLY enough time to see results and balance accordingly.
Look at the bright side, the 5th is a Saturday so you'll get a whole FOUR days to play with these fixes before they hotfix an entire new combat system into the game!
Hah!
 Indeed!

•Howling Blast damage has been increased by 20%. To compensate, the area-of-effect splash now does 50% of the single-target damage, down from 60%. The net result of this change leaves the area-of-effect damage roughly the same as 4.0.6 numbers. In addition, Howling Blast now has a facing requirement.
Does not having a facing requirement pretty negate it being an area-of-effect spell?

Yeah...except they don't bother testing any of the hair brained changes they brain fart out for the game. So, when they say "updates on the PTR", they really mean untested changes that you gotta wait til their next patch downtime to test for them on live.
TLDR: PTR changes = live hotfixes since they don't test anything anyway.
