lol...that was the very first thing that came to mind when i saw this thread and someone had already posted it. priceless 
seriously though...how long you think before blizzard tries to incorporate some rift ideas like the npc mob invasions and the public/auto-group ideas? they would be smart to do so but you have to wonder if pride won't keep them from learning a few things from what rift has done right.

You could rephrase the "head up" question to ask, why does blizzard upper management allow a crew of clowns that everybody despises continue to run their cash cow into the ground?

Um, WoW has had dynamic content all along. It might not be ultra repetitive rift invasions but every time a holiday hits, or when they did the undead crap, or whatever - it's all dynamic content. Rift has a newer engine and different graphics but the concept isn't all that new or amazing - they're just doing something different with it, and it's very much like WAR's PQ's, just a little less sucky.
Rift's invasions are neato now, when the game is new and a week old. When you're facing 4 an hour every hour during primetime for the 100th or 500th time it'll probably be a little less amazing.

that argument goes both ways. the pve events you see in wow are so infrequent AND poorly designed they might as well not be there.
personally i want to see the group options added to wow. being able to run up to someone whose killing a named mob you need for a quest and having the option to group yourself with them in one quick click so you don't have to wait 5 minutes for a mob respawn is a game dynamic blizzard should have figured out on their own ages ago. considering most named quest mobs still have those long respawn timers rather than something short like 15 seconds i don't have alot of faith in it happening...it almost seems like they want people to have to sit around and wait.
