This is 100% percent repeatable. Apparently a known bug. There is a bug report on official forum but I can't track it down right now. Was not fixed as of this week's maintenance as I was still having the issue last night.

I'm breaking what I said about not posting here again (and will probably be picked on because of it, lol).

I was on relatively flat ground when it happened, and logging out and back in would move the corpses

to where they were "supposed" to be located. I was able to loot them then. Ill just

make sure not to kill anything with typhoon from now on if I cant help it!

Yes this is a known bug that hasn't been fixed yet. As stated before just log out then back in and problem solved if you happen to screw up and use typhoon.
