I like the whole Zelda( Linken - http://www.wowhead.com/npc=8737 ) easter egg in Ungoro. The quest was annoyingly long, but it was still fun the first time I did it.

So far all I have heard are references, I think that an Easter Egg is more of a hidden thing that opens something up. Like:

Westfall Chicken when you have to choose a chicken near Saldean's Farm use the /Chicken command until he gives you a quest, then you feed him the special chicken food, he lays and egg, when you click the egg you get the "Westfall Chicken" Vanity pet.

To me this is an Easter egg that is really an Easter egg and not just a corny pun.

Though running around calling a chicken a chicken while you flap your arms is pretty damn corny.

Easter Eggs aren't crappy references to pop culture, which WoW has so many of it is just now lazy written and not cleaver disguise. Easter Eggs are things you have to trigger or discover via manipulation of the controls. Easter Eggs are code within code. For example early versions of Windows office products had a video game that you could launch if you you knew the sequence of commands to enter.

Hell if you look at the evolution of cumputer viruses you will see that many of them have roots in easter eggs.

NONE of these posts above me are regarding EASTER EGGS. (except the guy mentioning the chicken one)

just because a character in the game has one like someone in real life, that is not a hidden easter egg

Like getting the Turkinator! or whatever title by killing 24 of the suckers in rapid succession in Howling Fjord? Of course you get swarmed afterward. Another would be in Ogrila, after you obtained the requisite reputation you can have any Ogre in Blade's Edge Mountains dance with you if you target them and do /dance

edit : You can always refer to the wow wiki (I never knew the one about the white punch card) http://www.wowwiki.com/Easter_egg

My favorite pop culture reference in WoW is the Howling Fjord quest when "Lebronski" is pissed because you walk on his rug. He is also next to NPC's "Walt" and "Donny". I think he also refers to himself as "the dude."

In his defense though, that rug really DID tie the room together.

I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

I refuse to believe someone would create an account to inform another person that they misunderstood the definition of an easter egg and post a Wikipedia link.
