Following the Cataclysm, Ragnaros's elemental minions assaulted Mount Hyjal in a bid to set the ancient World Tree of Nordrassil ablaze. Although the Guardians of Hyjal and their allies heroically repelled this invasion, their work on the sacred mount is far from over. In the newly healed Regrowth, Archdruid Malfurion Stormrage and his comrades have transformed the Sanctuary of Malorne into a staging ground for an assault on Ragnaros's domain: the Firelands. Thus far, their efforts have been frustrated by a resurgence in elemental activity that has engulfed the Regrowth and divided Malfurion's forces.

If Hyjal's defenders quell this counterattack, they have plans to create a permanent outpost in the Firelands from which to maintain an eternal vigil over the molten elemental realm. To do so, Malfurion's druids are planning to use an enchanted Sentinel Tree. With its roots sunk deep in Azeroth itself, this extraordinary tree's protective canopy will grow in the Elemental Plane, providing a much-needed shelter for the Guardians of Hyjal. Yet accomplishing such a feat will take weeks of brutal fighting against foes such as the treacherous Druids of the Flame, a splinter group of night elves bristling with Ragnaros's fiery powers. Regardless of the many challenges ahead, Hyjal's protectors and other heroes remain steadfast in their goal to establish a foothold in the Firelands. The safety of Hyjal and Nordrassil hinges on the campaign's success.

IMO, bliz gets away with murder as far as patches go. As players, we simply don't hold them accountable or complain enough, IMO.

We pay a monthly sub and get...what...tiny amounts of new content every several months, when we should be getting new content monthly to match when we sub. Kinda doubt bliz would accept it if we said, eh, I'll pay you every 3-5 months, might be late, and maybe I'll give you 50% of what you deserve.

This patch is a lot of tweaks (GC's regular class/game mulilations), one 7 boss raid, one simple new boss in BH, and some new dailies (vomit everywhere). It's a wall of text in patch notes due to the class tweaks and itemizing the existing raid nerfs but as far as content goes and real meat to the patch, there isn't much there, and surely nothing to justify the months it takes blizzard to do a patch. How can it possibly take the professional designers and devs from one of the biggest/best game companies in the world so long to produce so little?!

The patch notes could be half a page if you reduced the raid nerfs to "all existing cata raids have been reduced in difficulty" and the class tweaks to one sentence "some classes were mauled by GC's 'loving' touch again, just like every patch"

Last patch wasn't much different. Two recycled instances that should've take a team of pros maybe a week to create, not several months, since they didn't have to create hardly any art assets.

I don't think creating content is the problem. It's testing and debugging that takes forever.

But yeah, I agree to a certain extent. Take all the class changes and old raid nerfs out of the patch notes and you don't have very much.

Unimpressed.

New Dailies and new thrall questline took 45 minutes, tops. It only took that long cuz retards were flagging and making it hard to target the correct mobs.

It's going to feel really lean tomorrow when all we have is the new dailies and I think you're limited to just a few until you unlock more by getting tokens.

Nah, disagree. It's their content creation system. I've maintained this position for years. In the time it took Blizzard to put out 4.2, Trion put out 2 in depth new raid dungeons, 2 new world events and new rift types. All quality content. Their world tools are just that intuitive.

My problem with this is Blizzard boasts over 12 million active subs we all know they make a killing if SOE,RIFT,and most other mmogs are always kicking your butt on content release and doing it in 1/4 the time making 1/4 the money then one has to question exactly wtf they are doin or spending the profit on if not for more ppl.

this Rift is adding content in months and its quality work while Blizzard took what was that 5-6 months to bring out another raid and with only 7 bosses in it :\

I do not care for dailies at all, i for one wish them a horrible painful death.

edit:
and stuff like the Thrall quest line is good stuff i'd like to hear more about that friend in vent is doing it now
