Here's the image I think you wanted, from the online comic Penny Arcade, it references a different and much older 1stperson shooter game, but the idea is basically the same whether we are talking about WoW or an online discussion board like this one:
In response to the original poster, I have commented on this several times in the past, usually sarcastically, but the main gripe I have always had with the RDF was that had it remained to your server only 95% of these problems would never show up. The one thing you should always keep in mind is this is a game you are paying to play to have fun with during your free time. It is not a volunteer service to babysit other people's spoiled brats. I can put up with all kinds of idiocy in WoWland, but the second an anonymous stranger starts being abusive to myself or anyone else in the group, after a warning if it persists either they are leaving or I am. That's not singling out any class or role either, everyone scews up, lags, gets distracted, whatever- Aholes/Dbags are present in every class and role.
This is really the only "benefit" to tanking random dungeon finder instances, you will get another group instantly, every other role has a modest or quite long wait depending on the time of day.
Here is my latest example of extreme WoW idiocy: A hunter in a troll random actually complained in group chat last night that the boss fights were taking too long- it was causing too much durability damge to his ranged weapon. Either us noobs needed to step it up, or start paying him to help on fights (I doubt the irony of a dps complaining about slow fights struck him). Silence of course greeted this unique concept. Followed by me explaining that as the tank, every instance I run, all my items are getting damaged, maybe he should pay me to be here? Then we moved on and nothing more was said.
