I use to be a quick to jump on the bandwagon thing. But after a few times, I learned it was more beneficial to wait, stability, pricing, balancing act/nerfing early on. I enjoy watching gaming companies send me emails of drastically reduced software now after playing their free trials much more. So instead of $59.00, in a couple of months they break down to asking for $10 or $15, sometimes lower. I can't imagine tossing $159 into any game at one time, but to each his own I suppose.

i don't see anything wrong with preordering especially since theres already betas to play and lots of media to get an idea of what the game is like. based on what i played tho i won't preorder this game as it was not very good. i will wait till a few days and decide if i wanna buy it like i did with warhammer

The arms race. If SWTOR has rising levels of gear as you level up or skill up, then it has an arms race. Anyone not at the forefront of the arms race is going to lose out on "fair" PVP.
And not pre-ordering anything here. Gonna wait for initial reviews from open-beta and release to make up my mind on whether I will play it or not.

I just looked at the site for TOR. Whats the point of any class other than a Jedi? I just dont get it. The Jedi seem to have "everything" while the other classes have a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Why would anyone play a "Trooper" or a "Bounty Hunter"?

Kinda hard to know everything about these classes till we get to play. I do know both of those are capable of being ranged tanks, which is something different.
