One interesting thing that I know I have heard this somewhere;

"And really, what we've found from a design standpoint is, the general instinct is that players always want more, but more choices just dilutes the quality of those choices, so we really wanted to focus on - okay, let's get the right number of choices, so that those choices feel really significant and powerful."

Well with the shrinking of the Talent Trees in WoW and the lack of choice found there, what did you expect?

I definitely won't touch Diablo 3 with a ten foot pole. When people will be playing that, I'll be playing SW:TOR and/or GW2.

SWTOR: 50 Jedi Shadow (Tank), 50 Sith Marauder (Annihilation).
LOTRO: Lifetime account, playing very casually.
WoW: Both accounts canceled for now.
GW2: Future Warrior.

Certainly kills replay value. One of the perks of Diablo 2 was how fast you could level up. I literally had like four bnet accounts full of characters. At one point I had like 5 paladins and 5 amazons. Each one with experimental builds, each one only taking me a few nights to push into the high\low 60s in lvl.

With this new system it seems I would never need to make a new character of the same type.

Meh

Just shows you that the same retards who are handling Cata are handling D3, a shame, I won't touch it if that is the case.

My excitement diminishes every time i hear about design choices for D3. I think the best course of action might be to steer clear of this game too.

IMO, steer clear of Blizzard games till they hire new Dev teams. Or a certain individual who's craming this dullified play-style down peoples throats.

I sure hate it, and never thought I would feel this way. But the more I hear about D3, the more I agree with the quote above.

Here is reality, Blizzard has fallen.

It's just that simple.

Blizzard has become a victim of its own corporate success, which is what happens when you have retards at the head of corporations.
