If what I hear is true about D3, then it is defintely a no go for me. Bites, but I'd rather save that 50-60 bucks.

do tell what the game breaker is, instead of being so aloof.

Look it up....like I did.

Dumbing down the game (http://pc.ign.com/articles/118/1185753p1.html)
Required constant online connection even for single-player (http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Diablo-PC-Gaming-action-rpg-battle.net-Robert-Bridenbecker,13187.html)
no modding, no LAN support, have to play on their servers, again, even for single-player
Real money auction house, aka, pay to win (so pvp will be a total joke) (http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/2397-Diablo-3-Auction-House-Announced-Spend-and-Earn-Real-Life-Money)

Those are a few things so far that make this a no-go for me.

I have no problem with not having to "micro manage" my stats, it was tedious at best in D2 and a welcome change for me.
Don't care about online connection, though you listed it twice?
don't care about mods either
RMT AH, diablo pvp a joke? Lol it's ALWAYS been a joke, there is no difference in "jokifying" D3 pvp compared to D2 pvp, because some guy will always dupe whatever is the "highest priced" item to trade for what he wants. now, he spends real life cash, what is the real difference here?

The AH is stuff put up for the players, by the players, it's an option for people to take part in, maybe Blizzard will do something like "seperate" those who spent money on items, and those who didn't, and we can segregate the online community even more! That's a wonderful idea!

I think most of you who are 'up in arms' are just looking for reasons to not play D3, which is all cool, but these decisions aren't game breakers, and aren't going to hinder my fun at all.

lol@worried about diablo pvp

Ok then sounds like you should be good. But I guess I will be spending my coin and time on Skyrim. Bethesda has always did a good job with the series. Have fun in D3!!!

Diablow <--(see what I did) never seemed to anything more than a smash and grab game to me anyways.. I mean, was it difficult at all for anyone at any point? Enter room, 1228 creatures swarm at you.. you kill them without missing a beat. It was a glorified version of Gauntlet IMO.

Thericia the reasons have been pointed out in this thread and countless others. At this point no one needs to spell it out anymore. We know the reasons people are going to skip the game this time around. Maybe those reasons do not apply to you, but they obviously matter to a large percentage of the people that post here.

You asked a question (concerns of D3), I answered it -- re-read your own reply before calling others 'aloof', when yours is rather childish at best.

Whether or not the points I, and others mention, are important to you, 'lol' and 'HAHAHA' etc, just makes you look like... ugh... why even bother. If you read the articles I linked, you would understand than it IS a concern to many other games, hence this discussion

This. Gauntlet style games were fun 20+ years ago when you had no MMORPGs and almost no multiplayer online games.
And also, 2D and half graphics with fixed camera don't do it anymore nowadays. As I already said, if I wanted to play such a game, I'd go for Ultima Online. At least that game still has some depth.

SWTOR: 50 Jedi Shadow (Tank), 50 Sith Marauder (Annihilation).
LOTRO: Lifetime account, playing very casually.
WoW: Both accounts canceled for now.
GW2: Future Warrior.

^^^

This.

Overhead views are completely ridiculous in this day and age. If Ultima Online would ever upgrade to WoW's graphic style/engine, it would be a mega success and maybe even topple WoW.
