Well, after "leveling" several chars through the PvP gearing "grind", all I can say is that PvP really starts when you have 3500ish resilience. Then you start to be competitive against almost any opponent, fights are balanced, how PvP should be.

And yeah, the GW2 spam is amusing... another victim of the "hype". But we are used to them here... Warhammer, Rift, Aion, <insert any other failure here>. Would be nice if it remained in GW2 specific threads... but asking something like that from VN posters is a waste of time. "GW2 PvP is gonna be better" is nonsensical spam, unless you are in the beta and experienced it first hand. Developer promises and announced awesome features are just that: words. And before someone says "but the videos!", WoW PvP can also look amazing... on videos... Videos where all the opponents are maxed out gear wise and of similar skill. Promotional videos. Reality is more about scrubs with 0 resilience whining that <insert class name here> is overpowered. And it will be the same in GW2.

I don't know who the more jaded player is, you or Spooky?

So I suppose listening to the impressions of other players who participated in last weeks gamescom tourneys doesn't matter, nor the countless other player impressions as well as press.

Now good sir if I was pimping out TOR I would say I would have drunk the Kool Aid. Also at least the spam on GW2 is better than most of p****ing contests between you and the other posters that most threads derail into since the activity on this board has sunk as fast as WoW subs. So has the quality of the posts come to think of it.

Still haven't learned that Korrigan's posts are worthless drivel? You'll get it some day!

For the record, I thoroughly enjoy your posts about GW2. I was only slightly interested in it before you provided all the information on this forum. Now I'm eagerly awaiting it because like you I think it'll be a refreshing change to the MMO market.

Well as I have stated I have contacted Mithan and he said that eventually the current GW Board will be switched over, haven't checked if it has yet or not actually, I will post over there with information once that takes place.

Also in many aspects there is a certain amount of respect that I have begun to gain for Anet since my interest in GW2 began.

A prime example of this was today when somebody stated that traits were "scrapped" from the game. You got this quick response from one of the other devs to clarify the situation for players.

He tends to use very strong language to describe things even when it isn't warranted (all part of his charm). I think when most people think of something being "scrapped" they think of things being completely tossed out and restarted from square one which isn't at all what's happened with the trait system.

The changes that you will see made to traits, and the acquisition of skills all make use of and leverage things that were for the most part already in the game. To say we "scrapped" the trait system is an overstatement.

As to why we made these changes, when we explain the changes we'll explain why exactly we thought that we needed to make them. I think the changes are a huge positive improvement for the game but I'll leave that up to your judgement once we're able to explain things more fully.

The last point I wanted to make is that these changes have not delayed the game in any way. We are in Alpha and we are still on track for a Closed Beta sometime this year. From there we'll determine when open beta will take place which in turn will determine when we ship. That's the same plan we've been describing for most of the year.

In the meantime, thanks for all the patience and understanding you've shown, we'll try our best to live up to your expectations.

How many customers has Blizzard tick off due to poor, or arrogant communication, not just with WoW, but I have seen some disparaging remarks when Diablo 3 is concerned as well. Since Blizzard has grown so big, or arrogant however you want to view it, they don't really go to other big Cons to showcase games, since they throw of their own big con just to highlight their games. I think at times Blizzard has just grown too out of touch with the gaming community itself, that they are bigger than it so to speak. At least this is the impression I get from them in interviews and WoW blue posts as well as GC. Of course, don't take that as a criticism of the games themselves as they still produce quality games, yet, they have lost base as well with the community. I think Cata is a good example of that.
