Diablo III Beta Coming Soon |
Took less than 2 hours to beat it, pretty fun though. Lots of new things around I never saw posted anywhere, like the Massacre XP bonus for chain-killing enemies.
There are other bonuses for killing multiple enemies with a single skill, killing enemies with the environment and killing multiple objects in a row.

I have a few settings on Medium because I get some frame-rate issues with everything capped. Not sure why, my computer should be able to run it just fine. Probably just beta issues.

You definitely have a point, but still... 2.5D graphics with fixed camera are the past. They could have innovated with D3 and done Neverwinter Night like graphics at least where you can freely rotate the camera - and NWN was release in 2002...
If you really can still accept 2.5D graphics, then Ultima Online is a WAY better game than Diablo.

I do accept them for what they are. Of course, that doesn't mean I wouldn't prefer them to be better. I think even Titan Quest(which is a few years old, but a similar game) may have slightly better graphics, though it could just be the less cartoony style.
Blizzard is not a company dedicated to innovation with their games, this should be painfully obvious to anyone. Recycling old ideas/features with ease of use in mind is their staple. But you already know this.

I always hype every new potential trash game being released before even playing it - and most games I hyped here (Conan, Aion, Warhammer, Rift, etc...) revealed to be total failures - but I never learn.
