Because you can't dodge/parry/block while casting.

Figured that was it, thank you. I use Exor liberally during pulls, never while engaged.

That is good to know about exorcism though. I have been thinking about breaking my pally out and leveling him in LFD.

For a time Exorcism was insta cast and when they changed it back to a timed cast I had trouble not using it. However I'll use it now on occasion when pulling. Or as an OT when I need to stay at ranged due to a debuff or something. If it's a sinlge mob that agro'd me while fishing quite often I'll stun and exor exor judge yada yada. It's quicker ot kill them that way than reequip my shield n hammer.

A mob can not block, dodge or parry any blows from behind either.
Actually a mob can dodge an attack from behind.

And once again, Quazi is right. If mobs couldn't even dodge, there would be no need for expertise.

That wouldn't be a bad thing if expertise went away.

Is this a new thing? Didn't used to be that way, in fact I seem to recall on those little log in tips is mentions as much, that a mob can't dodge an attack from behind...but maybe that's something out of the 2005 book again...
