This is what confuses me the most:

Q. How will loot be distributed?
A. Automatic rolls and the Need Before Greed loot rules will apply in Raid Finder raids, just as they do in Dungeon Finder instances. Also, while Dungeon Finder raids aren't locked, you are only eligible for loot from a boss once per week. This means that if you were present for the defeat of a boss, whether you receive loot or not, then you will automatically pass on loot that drops during later attempts on that boss during the same week.

Can someone explain this? If cloth loot drops for my mage, and I roll, and lose the roll...am I locked on loot from that boss for the week? WTF? That sounds pretty annoying.

Works the exact same way that raid bosses have since day 1. You get one shot at loot from each raid boss each week. The only difference is that you can kill the same boss multiple times with LFR. You just won't be eligible for loot with subsequent kills until the weekly reset.

Which is harder: working with a group of competent, like-minded, ventrilo-enabled people who are used to working together, or with a group of people not on ventrilo, who probably don't normally raid, who have never worked together before, and who may or may not be incompetent/AFK/etc.?

One could make the case that PUG raids should get BETTER loot due to the extra pain of PUG management.

This.

But of course the no life nerd raging dorks who raid in wow due to Freudian male overcompensation issues will most certainly disagree.
