Man I miss the old DAoC raids like Sidi, get 100 people, go spend a bunch of hours rolling the dungeon.
Waiting for someone that was "link dead" sure was the highlight of my night. Once you hit a certain critical mass, the raid moves at a snails pace between that, afks, and arguments. One thing I won't miss from DAOC is the zerg raids.
Ouch. You must have been on a truly sucky server. Lancelot and Gaheris were always under 2 hours for just about every raid I went on, including loot. Excepting some of the ML raids, of course.

The question is, into what? A bad WoW clone with laggy counterstrike imbalanced as hell RvR? That was the road it was going down when I last looked. Just went and found the patch 1.110 notes and I'm not really impressed by a UI overhaul and the "New User Journey".

My guess is that the LFR loot will be 365 tier for Firelands. just like the items you get from doign the FL quests. better than the last tier of raids, but not as good as the current tier. As for say BWD/BOT/TOT4W My guess is they will be 353 loot. same as ZG/ZA but not really sure on this one since you can already fill out on 353 gear from those isntances... i am guessing shoulders/helms tokens won't drop out of these either. (or maybe they will just a lower item leve.. but i'd take a lower item level helm/shoudlers to get my 4 piece set lol)

If they don't allow helm/should tokens to drop then the majority of casual players are already at the brick wall of gear progression so you can expect another million or so to cancel.

They're already fun, and filling up with posts about how fail this is going to be. I expect it will fail too, but we really ought to see how it actually works on the PTR before writing it off as another C-Team failure.
On it's face, I'd say something like this is a good idea, if executed properly. Given past history, I'd give less than a one in twenty chance that GC and his crew execute it even close to a mediocre standard.

My understanding is that the only raid that will be available through the LFR tool will be the new Deathwing raid. And, since the new 5 mans will be dropping ilvl 378 loot, t11 and t12 are done come 4.3.
My guess is that the LFR loot will be in the 384-391 range.

I'm going to skip the rest of Cata, and come back after the next expansion, when level 90 or 95 greens will be better than Cata raid gear.
So, I won't even play between now and then, deny Blizz my 15 a month, and still have equal gear to all when that time comes.
Enjoy chasing the carrot between now and then for absolutely no reason

I'm gonna chase the carrot cause the new tier looks awesome and they are making holy paladins really nice next patch.
