It has been a while but I had some fun playing my Blood DK in BG's and they certainly are not the hardest class in the world to learn. Hard to get killed in 2-3 seconds as a DK

What the hell is this? I ask a simple question and you don't come in and hang me out to dry. Wtf is happening with this board; I've been assured over and over again that everyone's crazy here :-)
Seriously though, thanks for the replies; I appreciate them. I think I may give the DK a shot, although I'll have to get him levelled from 80, and I'm already a bit bored with the 80-85 grind.
As far as healers are concerned, do you think a priest can manage, or does it have to be shaman, paladin or druid? I only ask because my priest is 84. Maybe I'll level it to 85 and see how it goes. What's the worst that can happen ... ?

Disc and shadow are both effective in pvp. However, like your mage, priests have a relatively steep learning curve and you're likely to experience some of the same frustration that you had with your mage before you really get it figured out. Once you get the hang of it though disc priests can be really robust and a lot of fun to play. Just don't expect to be great at it right out of the gate.

I kinda disagree... I am by no means an uber PVPer (fair to say pretty crap in fact), but I find both Shadow and Disco relatively easy to pick up! I even like playing Holy Priest in PVP and never found it too difficult or that i would get pwned.
I am playing my brothers shammie at the moment, and the mobility and offensive capability the shammie offers blows the priest away - very effective at kiting, getting out of a shitstorm and interupting others.
But in terms of pure punishment, I could stand still on the priest and have a well geared warrior beat on me while I healed my team and stayed alive until my mana went out... only well played/geared chars who were good at locking out my spells were able to kill me efficiently (i.e. before OOM).

Um, yes I have: my camera angle is usually set behind my frost mage, so I do see him run from DKs; and from rogues; and from feral druids; and ... well, the list goes on.
