During the BlizzCon Opening Ceremonies, Chris Metzen announced "Mists of Pandaria" as the next World of Warcraft Expansion. The announcement was well received by the 26,000 people attending. There will be two long panels dedicated completely to discussing the new content that will be coming up including new zones, new talents, a new class the Monk, and the new race of Pandarens. The new expansion will increase the level cap to 90.

Unlike previous expansion, this expansion will not be an expansion that pits the Horde and Alliance against one big bad guy but rather is themed to pit the Alliance and Horde forces against each other in an all out war.

Mike Morhaime announced that you can get Diablo III (full version) for free when it launches by signing up for a one-year contract subscription to World of Warcraft (billed monthly). You will also get a guaranteed early beta invite for the next expansion to World of Warcraft. Lastly you will receive an exclusive in game mount "Tyreal's Charger". You can sign up for the 12 month commitment today by going to WorldofWarcraft. com.

Blizzard also released a new cinematic for Diablo III, a preview of the new Blizzard DOTA game, and a new Starcraft II Heart of the Swarm cinematic.

Huh, Chris just told the direct TV peeps that Pandarens were going to be the alliance race in BC.

Low level pandaren experience will be like a neutral race but then you'll be able to choose horde or alliance as part of your questing experience later on.

There will also be a 'pet battle system'. I'll keep an eye out for more info on that.

This is interesting. I wonder how they gonna make Monks different from cloth wearing rogues!

Ablatives, buffs and "kung fu" style bonuses ala DAoC Heretics I would think.

The expansion is going to be heavily based on PvP? The same PvP that Blizzard has never gotten balanced even once in the entirety of WoW history? Ha!
