I'd be very surprised if you could fetch even a few hundred dollars for a WoW account. MMO accounts just aren't worth what they once were. Earlier MMOs had slower leveling and some real grinds to them. They could fetch a pretty penny because you were saving yourself a lot of time and effort. My personal best was 700 USD for my DAoC account. You could buy WoW today and be level 85 within a couple weeks. Fully geared in ZG/ZA gear or better a week or two after that. 3 to 4 weeks of gaming is not worth $1000 to most people. Especially when leveling in WoW is the only semi-enjoyable experience. End-game sucks.

How about an account with free WoW till the year 2034?

That's like $4000 in monthly fees.
