That wouldn't change anything...
85-90 mobs require 85-90 gear, which is better than 80-85 gear.
Add 3 zeroes to everything, or subtract them. My statement holds.

This won't change the fact that MoP greens will be comparable to top tier Cata epics. The same thing has happened with ever single expansion for WoW. That way they can tune the quests in such a way that the level of difficulty (or lack thereof) is the same for everybody regardless of their gear going into the expansion.
There seems to be a lot of hyperbole and paranoia surrounding the "squish" thing. But, as long as your power relative to the mobs doesn't change, the size of the numbers is pretty irrelevant.

Being in a top end guild isn't as bad as people make it sound, cripes. Oddly we don't all have to give away our lives outside of the game to do it

I don't do anything that requires a pre-formed group, or a schedule, nor will I ever.
This week I haven't played at all...(which is exactly my point).
Given that, I will still have better gear than you have now by simply questing for greens when the next expansion rolls around, for 1/1o000th the effort, and time.
Keep showing up for your 'scheduled playdate', and I'll keep living life, and we'll both wind up in the same place.
