His intent wasn't to "gay bash", even if people ended up taking it that way. So much hate in the world, do we have to try so hard to find it?
I don't think we should except gay bashing in any form. It will never be accepted if it is acceptable to hate on it openly in such a vulgar manor. I imagine being young and gay is not the easiest thing in the world as it is without constant put downs like the above video becoming the norm.

Whatever. People get hated on for far less on a daily basis. Being a minority doesn't give you the right to the biggest megaphone. The entire reason there is such an uproar over this nonsense is BECAUSE it is NOT the norm and tolerance is this generations nationalism.

Did we watch the same video? As far as I could tell, he called Alliance players f-ing gay. If he did more than that, then I did not see the entire video.
I don't condone that type of speech as a general rule, but let's also keep things in perspective as well.

Ok, so I only just now watched the "censored" version of the video because the link to the uncensored version times out.
All I heard was a whole bunch of bleeps, then saw some basement dwelling, nerd raging metal head geek raging while burping into a microphone.
At this point I'm pretty sure I missed something somewhere....

The thing is he didnt call them gay, he called them Homos, which is a bit more derogitory. Having a close friend who is gay and a hardcore gamer, he said some in his group consider using that word the same as calling an African-American person the N-word.
Agree or Disagree with that is your choice. But that is why people are/were up in arms.
It was a joke that didnt turn out as funny as they thought it would. Whatever move on. There are bigger evils in the world than a video game company making a joke that was probably in poor taste but not meant to be a statement about anybody.
