I watch the forums and patch notes hoping to one day re-subscribe. Currently there is nothing pulling me into an active WoW subscription. With SWTOR being a total flop (for me after a couple beta weekends) I'm looking for MMO options until Guild Wars 2 comes out. I enjoy Skyrim but most single-player games are not my thing. There is potentially enough content in Skyrim to keep me busy through the Christmas break. Anyway, I'm going on and on about nothing important so...

Do you play WoW currently?
Does the majority of the game still involve 40-minute DPS queues while everyone sits around Orgrimmar and an endless amount of repetitive daily quests?
Are you looking forward to MoP?
Do you think WoW is growing or dying?
Do you think Rift is growing or dying?

Thanks for any feedback.

Do you play WoW currently? Yes, very casually though.
Does the majority of the game still involve 40-minute DPS queues while everyone sits around Orgrimmar and an endless amount of repetitive daily quests? Not sure. DPS Queues for LFD seem to be on the order of 5-15 minutes but I have only run a dozen or so since I've started playing again a month or so ago.
Are you looking forward to MoP? Not even a little.
Do you think WoW is growing or dying? Dying.
Do you think Rift is growing or dying? No idea, never played Rift.

Everyone playing WoW knows everything about playing two classes: 1) their own and 2) Hunters

Nope

I played last month and early into this month, dps queues on Deathwing were 30-50 minutes on both Alliance and Horde.

Are you looking forward to MoP?
Not one bit.

Do you think WoW is growing or dying?
If we're speaking specifically on a subscription basis, I believe WoW has reached its peak and is on its decline. Where it plateaus only time will tell. If we're speaking on a development platform, my personal experience with the game has me feeling like its been dying since TBC's introduction. The Vanilla game had so much to build on and the developers decided to build out instead of up.

I feel like WoW should have been:

Instead we got:

Do you think Rift is growing or dying?
I didn't make it past the first free month, barely kept up with it. No clue.

Do you play WoW currently? Yes. My wife and I both still enjoy it.

Does the majority of the game still involve 40-minute DPS queues while everyone sits around Orgrimmar and an endless amount of repetitive daily quests? Most DPS Ques are under 15min.

Are you looking forward to MoP? Sure. We are looking forward to the new class, the new quests, and hopefully it will do what they say and bring more focus back to PVP.

Do you think WoW is growing or dying? All games are like people, they start dying as soon as they are released. Or well, when the next game is released lol.

Do you think Rift is growing or dying? See above. Rift was ok, but the end game wasn't enuff to hold us.

All that being said, is wow perfect? Heck no... but its still probably the best, most polished option out there for a fantasy MMO.

Also, I don't think Rift is dying. It isn't anywhere near as generally popular as WoW was, which is probably a good thing.

I canceled my current sub a week ago, in preparation for SWTOR; it expires on 12/05. I'll continue playing until then.

Does the majority of the game still involve 40-minute DPS queues while everyone sits around Orgrimmar and an endless amount of repetitive daily quests?

I have only one character - 85 Human Mage - so I hang out in SW when queued. Average wait time is usually around 15 minutes.

Are you looking forward to MoP?

No. And if there's a Panda on the box cover, I am not buying the expansion.

Do you think WoW is growing or dying?

DAoC is 10 years old now, and still sees at least several hundred people online during any given day. As long as WoW has a thriving subscriber base, it's not going anywhere any time soon.

Do you think Rift is growing or dying?

It's less than a year old, and just had 600k more people sign up in the last couple of months. That doesn't sound to me like the sign of a dying game.
