The recent info on Mists of Panderia has gotten my attention finally. Basically, I like the new features they are adding to the game and I think Blizzard will try to do a better job with this due to the issues surrounding Cataclysm.

The screenshots and video's for the new zones are also well done and are much better than what we saw in Cataclysm IMO.


Now, it has been almost a year since I quit WoW (the end of Jan 2011) and I do find myself wanting to play it again but due to still having a blast in SWTOR, I am going to hold off a few more months.

Ideally, I see myself coming back 2-4 months before the next expansion comes out, as I think that will be the perfect balance between coming back and doing all the content I've missed, relearning the game again and then having the next expansion hit me just before I get "bored" of the Cataclysm content again.

When I quit Cataclysm, I had left a LOT of my stuff undone but I was so burned out on WoW, I just couldn't stay. The last year off has certainly been a good thing.

im with you on this...ill come back for the xpac, but it will be about a month before the Panda xpac. mainly for resources for my undead monk (Sensei).

MoP is going to be a bigger bait and switch than TBC, WotLK and Cata combined.

Don't waste your time or money.

If I come back and play again, it will only be a couple months after MoP goes live so I can keep an eye on the forums/patch notes to see if anything actually changes.

your probably right, but been wanting to play a monk since early days of EQ. i told my RL friends that i play with that if WoW ever makes a monk class ill play again...that's when i quit the last time..and wouldnt you know it they announced the damn monk!

ill play like i always do, get bored, quit, and look for something with meaningful PVP.

that GW2 is good!

First, you are insinuating I was unhappy with the first 3 expansion packs. Wrong.
Second, you are insinuating I felt they "baited and switched me". Wrong again.

If the expansion is as good as TBC or WotLK, then it is a success in my opinion.

I think you might have the "shiny new penny" syndrome.

From what I have read, and what they are doing to the talents, choice limitations, overall dumbing down of the game basically herding us like cattle that were once free range in to smaller and smaller corrals, it should be an insult to the intelligence of everyone that plays this game.

If you look past the sheen of the shiny new penny so to speak, MoP is really all about implementing more power and control over the player base. I don't know about you but I resent them trying to treat me like a chess piece in their private game or some kind of lab monkey they want to have autonomous control over. Which is exactly what they are doing with MoP.
