I guess we can expect a July/August launch going from history. They usually take about 4-5 months from beta start to launch for WoW beta's.

I think that once people play GW2 and realize they dont have to pay a monthly fee, they will never want to pay a monthly fee again and wow will fade away

No monthly fee usually means pay to play in a different way..such as gear upgrades to level content..
I'll never participate in that model, no matter how 'good' a game is.
Besides, 15 bucks a month is nothing...

The stuff you can pay cash for are all fluff items that look different. You can also earn all these cash rewards just by playing the game if you want.

You'll spend $15 a month for one game but you won't spend $15 (or anything) on another simply because they don't require you to put up a subscription? Weird.

Nope.
It totally kills the immersion when you want to proceed to the next "place" or obtain the next "level", but first enter your credit card number to pay $9.99 or whatever...
Hypothetically speaking, I wouldn't stop in the middle of it and pay a hooker by the stroke, either.
By all means, enjoy your "dollar a stroke" gaming experience.

Gutter, do you actually look into a game so you have some idea wtf you are talking about before you start badmouthing it? I played GW to max level on several characters and never once had to pay to get gear or anything else in order to advance my characters. Not to mention you didn't bother to read or just plain ignored (likely because it nullified your criticism) the comment that the extras you can buy in GW are pure fluff, much like the non combat pets and special mounts you can buy in WoW.
