Well, I'm just not pointing fingers. I've seen Korrigan stand up for himself numerous times.
I'm talking about the really bad ones, especially the newer ones around here. They show up with like 400 post count and then go berserk when things aren't a bed of daisies.

Korrigan is too much of a pussy
Korrigan, Arden, and the rest of their ilk take everything that happens online personally. That's why they're always crying about "trolls" or getting ganked in a video game.
Having a differing opinion is a personal affront to these guys and threatens to destroy their fragile egos. That's what happens when you get a trophy for showing up and mommy and daddy tell you that you're the most special snowflake that's ever lived. Somebody telling you otherwise threatens to destroy your whole paradigm.

Speaking for myself (yes, a VN nobody blah blah), it was absolutely the 'cool kiddies' that saw me stop using VN to any major degree. Their posts come down to insecurity on their part and having a chip on their shoulders, that's blindingly obvious, but sadly not to them and so it doesn't stop them polluting the boards for everyone else.
I mean take this thread for example - Arc's contribution is something along the lines of starting with a personal attack based on insecurity (look out for posts from reliable side-kick Quazi at this point) and then moving on to totally contradict himself, finishing with 'hey look a cockerel on stilts so it's all cool bros'.
I feel bad writing this response as I know any attention is 'good attention' to them - but there you go, sad though it is Arc and side-kick Quazi were the subject of my last post. You dudes rock!

I had differing opinions with many people here without them ever feeling the need to insult me, and me to insult them. I could use Cawlin as example (I hope he forgives me =P), we had some very rough argumentation, but at the end, there was always respect between us.
Korrigan, Arden and the rest are just mature adults who talk on the Internet like they talk face to face with other mature adults, no matter if opinions differ or not. Then you have the few pricks who hide behind their screen just to be asshats, to troll, and to start flame wars, who interfere, and since nobody here is jesus holding the other cheek, the debate degenerates. And it doesn't require many pricks, even just one can completely ruin a community which is otherwise able to communicate just fine in a civil way.
Try again kid, you can do better. The egos you talk about are not on our side.

Quazi and I are hardly bff's. We disagree quite often. We're just not so socially inept that hearing any contradiction to our line of thought crumbles our psyche.
