Hmm. I check this forum for the first time since September and I see this post but half a year later...
You'd be surprised how upsetting this is. In all honesty for the past half a decade (maybe less, whatever) Cyns has been more or less the face of WE. This is the third decade for this games existence. You guys realize that? And probably the most prominent player is finally taking their bow.
The influence you have had over many lives is probably more than you can imagine, no matter how small or large. Not that we were best friends, and I know we haven't (unfortunately) talked in many years, but it still hits me, and I'll miss you Cyns.
I started playing this game when I was 9. Single digits! And now I'm in college! The majority of my life has known this game. Really cognitive thought begins at what, 4? In terms of memories we remember at least. And five years after that I was playing this game. Think about it guys. What were you doing more than a decade ago? Think about all the things you've done, places you've seen. All of that has had this game interspersed! You log on and people have heard your stories. In 40 years you might remember a name from this game and say, "Wow, I wonder how their life turned out." And when you think of Asheron's Call, which we all know we will at one point or another, we will think of those prominent faces. And I know I haven't played WE religiously in half a decade, but this server is still my home. When I think of AC I think of WE first, and in my opinion the face of WE has been Cyns.
Cyns, I wish you luck in all of your life's endeavors. Whether we speak again, see each other on the boards, what have you, know there will certainly be times that decades from now I remember your name.
And that goes for the rest of you as well.
